We store the information necessary to fulfill your purchase and deliver your Certificate of Nothing. This includes the display name, recipient name, and optional message you provide during checkout, along with the purchase amount and Gumroad transaction identifiers needed for transaction records. We may receive the buyer email, sale and order identifiers, actual amount paid, currency, custom fields, timestamps, and refund or dispute status needed for fulfillment and support.
Payment credentials are collected and processed by Gumroad through its checkout. Nothingbid does not receive or store full payment card numbers or card security codes. Gumroad processes payment, tax, fraud, risk, and transaction information under its own Privacy Policy.
If you choose to list your purchase publicly, only the display name, recipient name, optional message, and purchase amount you explicitly entered will be shown. We do not intentionally display Gumroad account details, email addresses, legal names obtained from the payment provider, or transaction identifiers on the public website.
Unlisted certificates have a unique URL that is accessible to anyone who knows the link. They do not appear on the Wall of Nothing or in search engine results. Treat your certificate URL like an anyone-with-the-link shared document.
Basic technical and security logs may be maintained for operational and security purposes.
To understand site activity, we process a random per-tab session identifier, pages viewed, a broad device category, and first and last activity times. Aggregated daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time visitor statistics are visible only in a password-protected operator view. This system does not store IP addresses or use the identifier for advertising.
The site itself sets no advertising cookies. Your browser's own session and local storage hold your in-progress checkout details and pending order reference so the site can return you to your certificate; that data never leaves your device except as part of the purchase you submit.
When analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic and which pages and buttons are used. It sets its own cookies and processes a truncated IP address on Google's infrastructure. We do not use it for advertising or to build profiles, and we do not send it your name, email address, or certificate contents. You can block it with your browser's cookie controls, a tracker blocker, or a Do-Not-Track/Global Privacy Control setting where supported.
